Congrats!! How long have you had the account and what kind of use did you give the card?  Did you PIF or make payments?

Just curious because I got mine a few months ago with a $900 limit, but I will charge say $700 and send in a payment for $350 for example.  Hoping that does the trick after some months to get a nice CLI as well.

You just call the number on the back of the card and choose the option or whatever that tells you your balance and the automated system will tell you at the end that you have "up to 1 million dollars available" blah blah blah. You never talk to a CSR.

I had the card exactly a year...started with a 300 limit then when they started reporting limits to the CR it was auto increased to 1000 ( i think it was back in July i believe). And thats exactly what i do...have charged quite a bit but paid it all in a couple of months after.

I think it use to be like that mmduluth...when i called i noticed their automated system had changed, it now gives you the option to request a credit limit increase...i entered my account, the last 4 digits of my social and then transfered me to a live CSR.

Re: Macy's CLI

Just called Macy's and did like the above poster said: hit #3 for CLI and was transferred to a rep.  I hate speaking to reps, but she was so nice.  She verified basic info and then asked how much I would like:smileyvery-happy:   Oh, not to be greedy, I asked for 1500.00 up from 500.00.  She then had to ask "other" questions based on my credit report and bam -- Approved!!

Thanks to this thread!!
