Unfortunately this is all true. Sadly, the Macy's reps are all confused as to what happens to the CL's once this all occurs. I have heard different responses and the most consistent response has been that the "revolver credit limit" will be your limit without combined CL's of all accounts. I guess only time will tell. On the bright side, if you need to charge furniture or jewelry now is the last time to take advantage of the no interest promotions they run.

On chat, I was advised the credit limits would be merged if the other accounts were active. They also stated that AMEX lines would also be merged into the one account. So it sounds like they'll be more like every other cobranded CC. I'd be perfectly happy if they combined all of my Macy's lines into the AMEX, but we'll see.
That's good news, the AmEx merge part. If so, I will request the upgrade to Macy's American Express in July. That's the only reason I never wanted the upgrade.

i never could get a special accounts even though i got half my moms furniture through my macys card. oh well
