I just opened my Macys account last month cl $300, made purchases and paid off balance. Is it already too early to try for a CLI? and is it a SP?
You could wait 3 more months for better chance of getting a CLI.

Many have success with Macy's right away, just do online chat and ask them for increase. They will tell you it's a hp, but it will use the same pull from approval for first 60 days I think, really they always say it's a hp and 95% of the time they use what's on file which is updated every 2-3 months. ask for $1-2k and they will instantly counter or approve.
I got my Macy's card in June 2013 with a $300 limit. Around August I tried for a CLI to $1500 but was declined. I was eyeballing a piece of furniture. When I logged in to view my December statement they had auto CLI to $1500. I have only used the card once -- charged $200

furniture can go on a totally seperate line (Major purchase) you just call them and ask them if your account qualifies for one... they usually open it without a credit pull no problem and then you can get the 0% too

Oh thank you .. I didn't know that at the time, and without the CLI I just went and found a piece I liked better anyway. Now I'm just wanting them to upgrade me to the Macy's AmEx, but I'm wondering if they will do that since I have only used the card once since I got it. I
Macy's really like for you to use their card. I believe that goes in to the process for credit line increases and upgrades.
