Hmm....DSNB, eh....
I guess you're right. I just looked at the Wife's report and damned if it wasn't DSNB/MACYS

Hi guys I wanted to apply for it also. On experian I have 23 inquiries from Auto loans which half are due to fall off by February 2015. I have a thin credit file of only 3 months. My utilization is only 1% my TU fico score is 644 per my Discover it card. My Experian is a 631 fake an a 610 vantage score. I don't know my actually Ex score. I have 1 collection account on my experian CR from a traffic ticket in the amount of $910.00 that was 1st reported on October 2009. I currently have 3 secured cards reporting. 1 BOA, Cap 1 an Discover IT. I have 1 auto loan out that was open in August 2014 an a shared secure personal loan. What are my chances for getting this card? Thanks in advance guys.
MarkWell.
That's kinda like asking what are the chances of getting a bowling ball through a regulation height basketball hoop.
Not really, but it'll be kinda hairy with a 644.
Macy's isn't that stringent. Of course, at that level, don't expect to get a $5K Macy's AMEX off the bat.
So today I decided to run my score through Equifax. My TU 663, EX 634 an EQ 645. Now I know these are NOT fico's but did my chance just get worse?

It's a store card, don't over think it. You'll very likely be approved but the limit may be <=$500, YMMV.
As long as you have another major credit card. You are fine with macys. They never left the 1980"s. So you are ok. Unless you got bk. not too bk friendly unless 4 years old. Other than that. A 600 is good. With low limit.
I'm seeing mostly low limit CLs in this thread. Anyone start off at $1k or higher?
1k on macys. Yes. They are good with increases every 3-4 months to.
I'm Still thinking about obtaining this card for after holiday deals. My TU is 689 Ex 678 an EQ 670. I have 26 inquiries now on ex, 11 TH and 10 on Eq. I recently got 2 Chase cards. Freedom CL 2200 an slate CL 2000. I also got a Barclays rewards MasterCard CL 750. Still using my Cap 1, Discover IT an BOA secured cards. My AAOA will be 6 month in January. My utilization is has always been 1%. I still have that one collection account from 2011. What are my chances? Need one more card b4 I hit the garden.

Your chances are great. I was approved in September for the store card ($600) with scores lower than yours and a few more baddies. I app'd online, though. I've read that your chances for a higher starting CL are better if you do so in the store.
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!

I applied in store last saturday and was approved for $1700. Was planning on using my Freedom for 5% off but they had a promotion if you sign up for the card you get 20% off. My credit scores are around the 780's range and they pulled Experian.
