I was too eager and applied for 3X CLI with out reading about all the details. I've later learned that anything over 25k will cause an automatic FR. I asked for an increase from 12K -> 36K. Predictably, I got a 7-10 day message. It's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't gotten anything from AX. BTW, I'm totally OK with FR (which I assume is a income verification via Tax return summary from IRS.).
Should I contact AX?

If you have no problems with having a FR. I dont see any reason not to contact AMEX.

Frankly, I'd just let it be. You don't know for sure that it's a FR. Why initiate something that may be unnecessary? Leave the ball in the AMEX court until you hear from them.

This is not an FR, merely income verifcation via IRS. If you don't supply the docs, your card will not be closed, you just won't get the CLI.
FR is nothing bad, just to people who have lied on their application. Regardless it's not end of the world, who knows this could work out better. Also remember if you ever apply for another increase don't ask over 50k, cause it won't be reported

That's not a fair statement at all.

I actually want the request to come from AX as I have no problem filling out 4506-t. It's just that it hasn't arrived at after two weeks.
