Major fail! AMEX MSD gains 23 yrs, no bump!

My first AMEX statement reported after being approved for BCP & EDP, both cards backdated to 1991 and reported with that date. Oddly enough, approved for BCP ten days before EDP, but, it's EDP that's reporting, not BCP. FICO reporting two new AMEX inqs on Exp, my util went from 1% to 3%. No other changes other than 15,000 CL on EDP reporting. Damn. Was looking forward to a major score bump and AAOA increase, the major reason to pay debt past sol and app two cards...

One correction: only one card reporting, and with a 1991 date.

I don't know what you mean. EDP is reporting with a 1991 date....and no FICO bump.

How many open and closed TLs on your report?  The 23 year bump gets averaged over that total, so the impact isn't as always as big as you might think!

With two new AMEX, 7. Only EDP reporting, technically 6. AAOA now 6 yrs, three new cards last year.

So no closed lines?

ETA: And 6 years is pretty good, so there may not be a whole lot of score increase available in this component.
