Marriott Premier Questions:

So...
I found an offer on the Marriott site for $100 statement credit after first purchase and 40,000 bonus points after $1k in purchases...
But then there's the 70k bonus points after $1k spend with no statement credit after first purchase.

Which would be the better deal AND what is the expected value of each?
I've done a little pricing, and if I assume a Category 5 hotel is 20k points a night and each night is $150/night, the value is about $400-500 total...
Anyone have better idea of a value of these bonuses?

No idea as I am just banking points for future stays overseas. I did the 70K point offer and made the spend in 2 months. Points credited to my account a few days after close of my second statement.

Don't forget about the annual free night. That was credited to my before I received the card.

Call chase and make sure you get the new version of the card or they will send you the plastic version. New one is made of metal...and might be one of the sharpest looking cards on the market atm.
