Marriott Questions..

Still a noob to this card so I had some questions. If you purchase a gift card on the website do you get the 5x points? Also can you use a ritz Carlton gift card at the Marriott? Have a few weddings I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to and I wanted to purchase some gift cards.

Has to be coded at hotel website or coded as brick and mortar hotel as far as I know.

you should earn 5x on marriott/ritz cards purchased directly at marriott/ritz.com

i remeber buying a 50 tester gift card from the website and yeah i got 5x the points.
