Re: Merrick Bank Free FICO

I also can't complain, I started with 700cl after 6 months up to 1400 and now at 1700. Although it has been stuck there can't complain there is no AF, and after having the card almost two years just realized the free fico... Lol. Mike1inTX did you ask them to reduce your APR?

Hi,

No, I did not ask for the APR reduction.

The reduction in APR just showed up on my Dec 2012 on line statement.

Merry Christmas to me! LOL

Oh that's great, I'm hopeful then. Although Merrick is not my prime card, it has help me rebuild and a reduction in APR is always great!

Is Merrick a good lender? Will this card grow with you?

They're a subprime lender, products have somewhat limited growth potential.

Thanks..looks like I won't be interested in them no more. I feel like Merrick is definitely a rebuilder card, though definitely a step up from First Premier or Orchard.

Capital One Quicksilver MC $3000 6/2011 | Chase Amazon Visa $1400 8/2012 | Citi Diamond Preferred MC $4200 7/2013 | AMEX Green NPSL 8/2013 | Chase Freedom $1000 Visa 8/2013 | AMEX BCE $7000 2/2014 ==> 2/2013

Agreed...if they're actually offering a FREE credit card enhanced TU FICO on a regular basis then that is significant value added.

Re: Merrick Bank Free FICO

I've had this one for several years...CLI's pretty much every four months if you USE the card...you don't have to carry a balance, but they don't seem to appreciate being sock drawered...use the card, and it grows with you.  Smiley Happy

I have had my Merrick Bank card for about 3 months now, and it isn't a terrible rebuilder card overall. The best feature for me has been the free monthly FICO score. The first one reported on June 14th, and the second one on July 15th. I still haven't gotten my Merrick FICO for August. Does anyone know how often to expect this? Thanks!

it could be any day now...i have merrick as well and last it updated was around mid 20s last month with date of july 15th...

Same thing for me. i got the card in June, with a FICO score of 627 as of May 31st. Than last month i got another one and my score jumped to 666. Still stuck on 7-15 pull so i am hoping they post the new scores soon.
