Merrill+

Anyone has this card? What were your scores/inqs/utl like when you applied? This is one of the last 3 cards i really want. I have 4 CCs with BofA already. Would this affect my chancea of getting this card? Did they ask you for any docs? Thanks

Re: Merrill+

I do not have this card, but do know that Bank of America/FIA is known to take limits from other cards to open another one, and sometimes they do not tell you. They did let my mom know and asked it if was OK, but other people have reported it was done without asking. Since you have cards with them I would say your chances of approval are very high and if declined, you can jus move the limit from another card.

Re: Merrill+

I would be willing to move all my CL from my total rewards to open the Merrill+. I just hate that you can only apply by calling. Ugh

Re: Merrill+

Well dont' close it unless you absolutely have to. You may get approved without having to do anything. I believe the analysts do not work on weekends, so the earlist you would be able to speak with one would be on Tuesday, so I would personally wait, but it's up to you obviously. I don't like applying over the telephone either. They say they have to read those disclosures and they are so long that I start to fall asleep while they read them lol.

Re: Merrill+

I am going to apply for this card soon also (around Jan if i could hold on that long...lol). I agree that they may shift some credit from your other BofA/FIA credit accounts to open one with Merrill.

LOL yeah, I don't want anyone to know that but me. I'll admit that even though I don't like Bank of America, they do design some nice looking cards. If it weren't for the Fidelity card or them giving high limits I wouldn't even bother.
