If I app, it will be for the Merrill+

BTW Lexie, the Merrill+ rewards somewhat is lacking.

Their Gift Card redeption somewhat sucks,

Redeem at 2,750 for $25 amazon GF...for most known merchants it's the same story.

@IcEWoLF

I'm trying to get past that big bull on the card. One of the reasons I didn't app for Fid Amex...that pyramid still has my eyes bleeding.

Hehe, I admit, it's a nice looking card, also their customer service is very nice, they have a separate team that handles your inquiries.

Wish it was metal Smiley Very Happy

They finally updated the guide! https://www.rewards.ml.com/RWDapp/ml/home (click on 2013 MERRILL+® Benefits and Rewards Guide on the lower right hand side). The explanations are much better than the walls of text in the T&C

What's interesting is that the PDF file name of T&C is "AR1A103D-2013_OnlineMERRILLPLUS_TCs_no_RitzOffer.pdf", which could mean Ritz hotels were part of the PLUS tier at some point, or still could be, but under another promotion / tier.

I am now definitely very interested in getting this card.

Debating between the Merrill+ or the BankAmericard Privileges® with Cash Rewards

Any recommendations anyone? Smiley Very Happy

Get both. I have my brother as a AU on both Privileges CR and ML Merrill+. and whenever he goes to the branch to make a payment to the cards and tellers always asking how he has those cards being so young lol

Re: Merrill+

I think I will just get the Merrill+ first and then the BofA card in March / April 2014.

BofA been bombarding me with their Cash Rewards visa offer though. It's really just the same thing except it's 15 months 0% APR instead of 12 months, followed by 12.9% APR. So maybe my approval odds are going to be ok, I hope.

I'm going to apply for them last though, only because they report the new account within 1-2 days I heard.

Re: Merrill+

They do have a "Merrill Mall" that gives you bonus points per dollar on spending. You can quickly rack up points with some of these boosters as high at 10/15 points per dollar!

seems to be 1%.

they sent out 2 booklets to cardholders recently. One explains the awards, and the other was about hotel promotions.

If you redeem it towards flights you can get up to 2% on partner airlines, and about 30k points for $500 in flight expenses for all other airlines.
