I received a targeted offer for the Club card today. They wave the annual fee, premier access, club membership, two free checked bags... Am I missing something?
If this had a 30k point offer with it I would do it... But I really don’t see the incentive. I have Lounge Club access and Priority Pass, And Amex Centurion lounge access... So the only place I would need to use a United lounge is Denver... Maybe once a year…
I get more points from my CSP card then this card…
Does anyone have it? Am I missing something? I always fly United too… I have Silver status just from my flights…
I just can’t see how this card is a $450/year card…
It’s a really nice brochure though….
SL will be minimum 15k...AF waived for 1yr? Get it and if it doesn't work for you than cancel before the AF. Simple as that. Oh and Chase will always let you move CL around so boom!
I would, But I just signed up for the Ritz card three weeks ago... Not sure how long ago they would have mailed this out...
Are you paying a checked bag fee? The United Explorer card has first checked bag free, AF waived and $95 subsequent years.
Two United lounge passes each year to get your once-a-year Denver fix.

Price out a United Club membership -- which is provided with the card. Now, whether or not a United Club membership is worth $450 is your call to make. It's not worth it to me. The passes from my MileagePlus Explorer are sufficient for me. There are certainly those who find it worthwhile but those are people who find value in a United Club membership. YMMV.
I doubt you'll ever see an XX,XXX mile offer with it. The $100 statement credit is about as good as it get on top of the club membership.

I don't but plenty do. Never assume that everyone has the same situation, needs, preferences, priorities, etc as you on any topic. Selecting cards is all about finding what fits the individual and everyone is not the same. There are definitely people that heavily use the United Clubs even if you, I and others do not.
Thanks Take. I understand. With that AF, I was wondering if there was more to the card than I was seeing. I guess not. For me, its not worth it. If i lived in say, Denver or flew through it a lot (Just an example) I might reconsider I guess.
Edited- Your right. I didnt realize that they valued their membership at $550 a year!
This card would only be worth getting IMO if you have high spend and use the lounge often. 100k spend on this card would net 150k miles vs. 100k miles on the regular MP card. The 50k extra points would more than offset the AF.
United Club membership: $550.00 or 70,000 miles
