Mine was ~645 when I applied and was approved for the Platinum Visa (no rewards). I started with a $500 limit. After 2 years, it's now Platinum Rewards and at $17K.
They pull EQ 100% of the time. I was declined once before I was approved. BK7 in '06, applied in '09 and '10.
