Money Order purchase

I don't know if this head been asked before but is buying a money order with credit card considered a regular purchase or would they fall under "cash advance"

If you can find somewhere that will let you, almost certainly a cash advance.   Most places will require cash or (sometimes) debit card only.

Yea. You cant use a credit card to purchase a money order anywhere. They only accept cash or debt card because a money order is guaranteed funds.

Hmmmm ok what about walmart money gram?
When I purchased one before I wanted to pay with my debit card but the lady told me cash or credit card only. I pulled out cash because at the time I didn't use credit for anything myself.

If it matters I've accidentally used my credit card for western union and was charged a cash advance.

Ugh ok then it's probably the same for money gram since it's similar to cash advance
