I currently have the Gold Premier AMX Charge (backdated to 2002) but have lost some utilization in the last few months with new accounts and transunion removing some old accounts from my report.
Should I app for another Charge card (since I don't think I can get a revolver yet) just for the backdating of 10 years????
What do you guys think?
It would only be a soft pull if I was denied...

It's really a trade off ~ is it worth a new inquiry ( if approved ) and annual fee ? You could try for the ZYNC, it has a $25 AF.
How many accounts do you have, and what is your AAoA now ? How much would adding a new 10 yr old account increase your AAoA ?
My AAoA with Equifax is 5 yrs 7 months. With Experian its 8 years and I don't know what Transunion is...somewhere around 6 years I think. I have alot of closed accounts, my oldest account is 26 years old...probably wouldn't raise my AAoA that much...probably not worth it right now.
Thanks
I also have PR Gold and I got approved for Green. I don't know it will help AAOA. I got it because I want to separate my local and travel spending. I haven't decided if I 'm going to keep it next year.
Ron.
Thanks for the input. I would proably go for the green also. The Platinum AF is just too much. I could open it and then get rid of one of them before the next AF comes around...by then I should have an AMX revolver...will have to think about it some more!
ok...thanks. That many MR points almost worth it. Why don't you pm me the info.
That won't be a problem.
Can you get the points if you are upgrading from the PGR?
