Moving Lines with Chase

So first i SM them to try and move 1k from CSP to Slate. They said i needed to call them, then im told i can do either a full consolidation or partial. Im assuming partial is just the 1k i want to move over and can keep both lines open still.

So then im told that they need to open a case to do this move.

Im wondering is this normal procedure? I thought i was more simple.

Also i can always move the line back correct?

Re: Moving Lines with Chase

I've always just picked up the phone and asked and it was done as soon as I hung up.  They didn't have a million caveats like Amex.  I never tried SM for the request, I'd rather speak to the CSR since it's Chase and they usually know what they're doing.

My reallocations have usually been during opening a new card or closing an existing card though.  So it might be more tedious if you're trying to keep both of the cards open.

Me too. Just did this a few days ago without issue. If you had a problem with someone on the phone I would call back and try with someone else.
