My father wants to get rid of his Bofa

The card has a $39 annual fee which he wasn't aware of before he got the card. Its the 123 card. He already paid the $39. When he applied for the card he went directly to the bank, he didn't do online since he isn't to familiar with computers or how they work.

I told him since he paid the $39, he might as well keep the card, use it for 6 months then call bofa back and see if they can take the annual fee off. The reason he has an annual fee in the first place is because he is currently still in chapter 13. He has 2 more years left. His credit is pretty much dead and when he filed for BK back in 2010 he got rid of and included all his credit cards in it. This bofa card is his first card since that time.

He wants to get a different card without the fee but I told him I don't think that will be possible. At least not with bofa. Maybe he can try CapOne.
