Thanks for the info. I think a secured card would still be a better option for me at this point, even if it means waiting a couple months till I can put aside 700-1000 as I want to use for my credit limit.

Just wanted to give an update on the cap 1 situation...

 

I logged into their website a few days ago and notice my 300CL which my card started out as is now showing 500(it was in the credit steps program). I still have a small balance on the card, as I left it on purpose for reporting purposes, and it is still restricted. I sent correspondance to their salt lake address and am awaiting word back. The new CL and balance has not reported on the credit bureaus yet. My statement was cut on the 5th, how long does that info take to show?
