As others have said, you've gotta wait until your first statement cuts. Citi did this to me as well, so you'd think I would have learned, but no. I charged up my brand new Cap1 card this week thinking I would be able to pay it off before the statement generated. NOPE. Looks like I'm gonna have some very high util this month...
Let that be a lesson to you kiddies. Don't go nuts until your first statment cuts!
I had the same problem the first month... couldn't pay online. However, there is a Citibank branch down the street from where I live and I made a payment there that posted in a couple of days.

How much interest were you charged?
