NASA FCU Credit Card Closed. Adverse Action.

Has NASA FCU actually been shutting down people who have been steady customers (people who spend at least a few hundred on the card each month) or just utilization padders who use the card trivially at most?

I have had my card almost a year and charge monthly and make a regular deposit in savings. So far I have had no problem.

This is an excellent point. Perhaps Nasa is simply looking towards profitability, which makes sense. Although I thought credit unions we're not for profit?  Hmmmm... interesting, very interesting...

I'm still on the fence on wether or not I Will be starting a relationship with Nasa. Of the big 3, NASA, Pentagon, and Navy, NASA is the only one I'm qualified to join. We shall see how this plays out.

Untrue. You can join Penfed by making a donation to one of two organizations listed on their site. And it's been recently discovered that everyone can join Navy Federal by first joining the Navy League San Diego.
