NFCU Approval Question

All,

Which unsecured NFCU CC normally has the best odds of approva, nRewards or GoRewards?  I'm in the process of settling a couple of TLs, which I'm hoping will finally boost my scores to the low 600s.  Already a NFCU member and I am anxious to get one of their awesome CCs.

My UTL will be below 9% before I apply.  Thank you.

CURRENT SCORES: EQ: 628 (12/14/14); TU: 628 (12/10/14); EX: 636 (12/13/14)--All myFICO
STARTING myFICO EQ SCORE:: 507 (11/2013); GOAL SCORE: 700--(All CRAs); GARDENING SINCE: 10/5/14

Re: NFCU Approval Question

Min $5K credit line, meaning higher/better scores needed?

meaning if you are worried about being approved, don't apply for the only one that requires the $5k min.

Re: NFCU Approval Question

I believe more people get approved for the nRewards. I got approved for $10K last year with a 632. NFCU took a chance on me and since then I've gotten approved for Discover iT, CSP, Citi TYP, AMEX Delta Gold and BCP. Good luck to you!

Re: NFCU Approval Question

I applied for the unsecure nRewards card and I think at the time my credit was in the upper 500's and I got approved for a $1,000 CL.  I do have a direct deposit with them I am not sure if that made a difference or not.  My credit limit now is $10,000 and it have been over a year that I had the nReward card.

Re: NFCU Approval Question

That's very reassuring.  I just reach my first 600, but it was in EX.  Once I settle some old debt, I hope my EQ score will cross that tresshold, so I can apply.  I would be delighted with a $5K CL to start with.  Currently my highest CL is a $7K Star Card and a $1K secured USAA CC.

Thank you everyone.
