NFCU CC Chances

I have just signed up for a membership/account with NFCU and I have two questions. First, how long should I wait to apply for a CC; and second, what are my chances on getting approved for a nRewards CC? My current scores are in my sig below and my income is 66k.

4/23/13: TU 615, EX 600, EQ 581
1/16/13: TU 585, EX 525, EQ 514
Goal: For now just get approved for FHA 7/13

Cards: Cap1 Secured - $200; NFCU $6k

I cant see scores but if theres no baddies on your report id say you 7k+ and you can apply whenever you want. I applied right away

My scores are EQ 514, EX 525, TU 585 and unfortunately I do have some baddies as I am just at the beginning of my journey. I'm sure I won't get the 7k but I have been in the constant denial mode. Do you think I will get approved with that information?

My dad was approved for 2k cashRewards, 2k platinum and 5k navcheck with scores little higher than you but still in 500s. He had a bk7 from 09 and multiple COs. So yeah lol he also got his truck refinanced with them and went from 24% to 6%.

If you do try please keep us updated. There has been multiple stories on here of approvals with scores in the 500's. Don't go into it expecting much and see what happens. They have a great secured card if all else fails, and the possibility of it graduating is there. Good luck!

I'm also going to be app'ing with NFCU soon, and I'm being cautious and have a grand ready to plunk down on a secured card in case they don't want to trust me yet.

My wife has scores similar to yours, and they approved her for a nRewards card with a $1K limit...

Starting to wish I would have apped for an unsecured card rather than just applying solely for the secured version. I thought I had no chance. Cross my fingers and hope they insecure at 1yr!

I know scupra, that's why I'm hopeful. I've seen on other sites of a handful of people within weeks of bk and eq scores lower than mine getting $1-3k right away, but like I said, I'm prepared if they won't approve me quite yet.
