NFCU CLI Online Instant Approval!

It's been a year now since I got my NFCU nRewards MC & VISA cards.  I requested CLI's for both of them back in March and had to wait 48 hours for a response.  They bumped me from $2K to $5K on both cards.  I went online today and hit the "request CLI" link and asked for $10K on each.  I got instant approvals for both.  I was quite surprised because I thought it was the norm for NFCU to take a couple of days to review.  I even called an hour earlier and talked to a CSR and he told me that all requests are reviewed.  I guess he was wrong.  I'm glad I gave it a shot and am very happy with the result!

Were these a hard or soft??  I've heard conflicting info and i didnt know that you could now request a cli on your cc online too?

I asked for a CLI on my Visa NRewards (soft pull) and was declined, I've only had it for 6 months. Maybe my utility was too high on it? However, I also applied for another credit card at the same time (hard pull), Platinum and was a pproved for a measely $2100, that was just silly. I had a higher CL on the nRewards.

did you say you called or did it over the phone..and that's odd they denied you a cli but gave you a new card with a $2100 limit..

I called because I had the questions about hard/pull verses soft pull. I didn't get instant approval either, it took about 3 days.
