I will be requesting a CLI from NFCU on Friday, one day after my third statement cuts. I have been wanting to call Citi to app for the Citi Hilton VISA card as travel every week and stay at a Hilton property. Should I wait to call Citi until I request my CLI or it shouldnt matter?

I would wait a new TL and inquiry if approved would be better to have report on your credit file after the CLI in my opinion.

Do you earn more Hilton points with the Citi Visa than the Amex HH? I've got the Amex and got 40,000 Hilton points after I met the minimum spend (which wasn't hard to do). It only has a $2K CL, but no AF. Got it on an SP following an HP for the Green card.

In my wallet: Cap1 Venture ($58k), Amex PRG (NPSL), Amex HH ($4K), Barclays Ring MC ($10K), Chase Sapphire Preferred ($22K), Chase SWA Visa Preferred ($7.5K), Chase United Mileage Explorer VS ($20k), Chase Marriott Rewards VS ($12K), BOA BBR MC ($41K), BOA Visa Sig Cash Rewards ($30K), Chase Ritz VS (9K), NFCU Flagship Visa ($55K), Discover It ($6K), Citi AA ($20K). Everything else in SD.

FICO goal: 800+ (as of 3-6-15: EQ FICO 774,,TU FICO 808, EX FICO 775)
