I can't imagine that they are picking and choosing who gets it. I'm thinking that everyone with a $5K CL or higher automatically qualifies and will be upgraded.

I just received this as well. My question-is there a CLI associated or just a new card??

I got this letter in the mail today, too!

History: I've had the cash rewards card for almost one year, and the limit started at $5,000 and remained so until a few days ago.

Then on Sunday I logged on and paid my bill and a few minutes later Pageonce notified me that I had been raised to $6,500, which I verified on the NFCU site, of course.

I don't know if CLIs go with this upgrade or not, but I definitely had a $5K limit card that was not a signature card until just now. I believe $5K is the minimum for signature status but evidently they can issue a $5K limit without signature status. Anyone waiting for a CLI - I bet you'll get the upgrade at the same time, though! THey probably want a minimum of $5K AND history with them for that status.

I got the same letter today. Ive had the card since feb 2011. Started at 3k then got a cli to 9.5k in mar 2012. This news makes me happy lol.
