I agree, it is worth it
Okay, end result is instead of 1k limit I have 1.5k. Still a toy limit but I've only been rebuilding for 1.5 years. Time to take a step back and consider what to do next. Use both my cards of course but maybe get a 3rd, even a secured card if I have to. I won't know for sure why until I get the letters but I'm thinking history with the CU anbd only 1.5 years history. Unless you pull EX then I have an old autoloan that's still on htere gives me an AoAA of about 8 years but that's the only one it shows up on. I'm going to look at whogavemecredit.com and find out who pulls EX exclusively but I think I'll just chill for a bit and do some gardening on my 2 toy limit cards. I have a longer history with USAA and an account with SafeAmerica that I have my VA check going to. I never closed it because I never changedwhere that check goes. Any ideas?
Did they say what the reason for the low limit was?
No, I haven't gotten the letters yet, it takes a couple of weeks for mail to get here. I'm really curious about that.

I realize that you've said you're in rebuilding mode and maybe I missed it in a previous post - but if you have a longer history with USAA, have you considered their cards? You've got a solid EQ score - which is what they've been known to pull generally. They are more conservative, but depending on your history and membership - you may have another opportunity there. However, if you decide to stay put for a while, I'm sure that your NFCU card will be eligible for more of a generous CLI after a good 3 - 6 months. (Albeit per your request and another HP )
Seriously?
He is REBUiLDING - what is with some of these comments?
1.5k is totally cool if he is rebuilding
For some reason I can't get beyond a toy limit. I'm not sure why yet, but the only thing that makes sense right now is the 1.5 years. I actually talked to USAA today about a credit line on my paid for house, so I could use it if I wanted and if not I don't pay anything. My scores are good but something about my CR they just don't like. I'm not sure what yet. When I get the letters I'll know more.
