I still am gently amazed at the concept that a bank in this day and age is unable to acknowledge a payment made after hours/ on weekends/ on holidays. What, do they unplug the servers when they go home? Do we honestly think that a human has some part of the interaction of an ACH payment traveling electronically from one financial institution to another?
It's all numbers reduced to electrons and sent through the air. Like I said above, Bob Cratchit isn't working late on Christmas Eve, posting our payments.
