Wow Duncan...bravo!
@Duncanrr wrote:I just received the following message letting me know of my approval and my APR. It says I'm "Prime Plus" at 11.74% (1.75% above their best rate of 9.99%). What is their max APR and how many steps above their best APR am I? (Im thinking Im one step removed from their best rates.
I don't understand when banks to the tier APR and approve a $25k line for middle APR but may approved a small $1-2k line at best rate? if you have almost what seems to be the ceiling for instant approvals of new credit cards, how can you not qualify for best APR??
My partner got instant $25k on Cash but he also got best APR 9.49 if not mistaken.
My understanding is that the CL is more a factor of income while the APR is more a factor of credit score. Im happy with what I got and as I tend to not carry a balance the APR really doesnt matter much to me. Additionally, it gives me something to work towards In 6 months I'll ask for APR reduction. I really dont need any more CLI from them right now so will focus on that.
Such a beautiful email! Congrats again!
Thanks.
P.S. my TU report finally updated today with ZERO balance on Walmart card. Not sure what my new score is but should be getting new Walmart FICO pretty soon.
