NFCU HAS PUT ME ON THE FLOOR@

Okay, I joined NFCU last Saturday and apped for the Ncash rewards card AS SOON AS I got home (PRIOR TO MY SAYING I WAS GARDENING THE OTHER DAY...'cause I already know that SOMEBODY is going to try it--SMILE!!).  Got the 3-5 day notification.  Let it sit, but kept checking on Sunday (since most that were approved woke up to a surprise approval the next morning).  "Review" notification still there.  Checked again on Monday, same thing.  Decided to call them up and ask for a status Monday morning.  Rep put me on hold and checked with credit card division. She then came back and said it was still under review, BUT that since I submitted on Saturday, I should expect to hear something 3-5 days from that as they'd been extremely busy.  Checked again on Tuesday, same notice.  Decided to wait until Wednesday morning to call and check status--no change.  About 10 mins. later, received a voicemail from NFCU needing me to return the call to a particular person in the credit app division.  Called back about 15 mins. later and that person was unavailable.  Rep put me on hold and said she would check another system to see if anything else was required because they are usually quick about rendering decisions.  She came back and said "looks like we need two recent paystubs in order to complete processing."  I HURRIED and sent them through messaging.  Checked again (then called to confirm) their receipt of my paystubs an hour later.  Receipt confrmed, but no decision given.  Next morning when I woke, had a text message on my phone that I had been approved for $3.5K!!!!  STILL LOOKING to make sure there was no snatchback.  Called to confirm again and rep said "congrats on your approval."  I DID NOT GET GREEDY AND ASK FOR ANOTHER DIME!!!  I KNOW where my scores are (TU-640; EX-592; EQ-595) AND had a BK that was discharged in 2004.  Have four low limit cards (none above $500) ,which I've had about a year and a half on average from First Premier, Cap One, and Applied Bank, 6 collections, and 6 COs (4on EQ; 2 on EX).  I've paid on the cards FAITHFULLY since I've had them.  Util.:  80%.  Also have a car loan since '08 that I missed three payments on due to job loss in '08 (1 30 day, 2 60 day).  I AM SO FRIGGIN' HAPPY!!  THANK YOU to the supporting, informative, and encouraging members in this forum for EDUCATING me and for never making me feel like my credit!!!  I am not applying for another thing for the next year or so...don't even need it!

Re: NFCU HAS PUT ME ON THE FLOOR@

SUPER CONGRATS!!! recommend not to dilute the benefit (maximum exposure) of a high limit NFCU cc by app another one (unless you having a specific reason for doing so) just continue to increase the limit on the one cc you have over time, soon other lenders will follow.
