They are offering a BT with 0% for 12 months right now through some time in February I believe. I just did the BT and it was quick and painless. If you did that you could get rid of the sub-prime and pay 0% interest while building up a better payment history with NFCU.

February would be a great time to go after a credit card with Navy Federal.I really don't need the balance transfer option. The current limit on my chase freedom is so low that the need to transfer isn't an issue. And my other card is a secured Wells Fargo which in theory is suppose to graduate in april but time will tell.Wells Fargo is such a conservative lender that I have to see the graduation before I believe it.

I have never seen a lending institution that had as many loan options as NFCU.They actually help borrowers buy used cars while providing extremely low rates. What bank would ever be that agreeable. Navy Federal is the type of company you want to keep as your go to lender for life. I was informed tonight that despite my pre-select offer not currently showing up on my profile, that the offer is still available to me. Great company!

I'll just add another +1 for NFCU. I switched to NFCU for banking back in May 2012, and then applied for their cashRewards card with about a mid-600's FAKO score back in September 2012, hoping to double my existing CL from $1500 to $3000 or something similar. I got an instant approval with a credit limit of $25,000.

They just approved our used car loan at 3.59%, EQ 617 (two collections reporting as OC, +120 days late).
