@Anonymous wrote:thanks for your input....i purchased the scooter 07/02/08...however the charge did not appear on my online statement until 09/12/08...on 08/15/08 i called navy to tell them that I would like to dispute, cuz i have NOT recieved the doucmentation. the CSR at that time stated i can NOT dispute "because it has not been charged to your account yet" she noted the account and I requested NOT to authorize the charge until i recieve the title and regestration.....to my supprise on 09/12/08 the charge appeared and thats when i called navy again....the dealer has not responded to my repeated requests for the documents...he had stated that he no longer has a business relationship with THAT partner, and is very sorry but cannot furnish me the documents.......... ...i no longer live in Texas, i moved to California, so returning the scooter is NOT an option...currently it sits in my garage unsused for its intended purpose........
dispite all the cheers from this board, about NFCU, i have found their CS on this issue to be less than accecptable....
I have been unable to speak to anyone there that can diviate from script or send me form lettters that do not respond to my situation...VERY< VERY < DISAPPOINTED
they may have generous credit lines, but their CS on this topic stinks
You haven't told us much as far as details go, but from what you have told us, it doesn't sound like this is Navy Federal's problem. You purchased the vehicle several months ago and it's your perogative to make sure that it comes with a title and registration. I'm not sure how you ended up purchasing the vehicle without obtaining those two documents.
If I were purchasing a vehicle, I would have major reservations about buying a vehicle without without the proper documentation provided at the time of purchase.
I would suggest you call Navy Federal back and ask to talk to a supervisor to make sure you have no recourse with them, which it doesn't sound like you do. After that, as suggested by others above, you should probably talk to a lawyer and try to work this out with the dealership.
Best of luck.
