I just opened an acct with them and was approved for the nrewards visa for $500. My TU score on creditkarma shows 572, but TU website shows 613. They other scores are in. the mid 500's.

10K - TU was 691, EQ was low (630ish). I commented on the app about EQ being an issue. They pulled TU and approved me.

Income is 80k

yes, I plan on it! as soon as my walmart cc payment hits, that should bring me to 0 uti...so a little score boost. So sometime next week. I want this as my third card!!!

started mid 500's. Disputed incorrect items and within a month or two my scores have skyrocketed and continue to do so
EQ: 755 as of 8/2013
TU: 700
Experian(or as I call them, the devil) I have no clue, they haven't released my report
Goal=801 across the board!!! Not too far from this, hoping to garden until Christmas 2013

Applied 8-30-12 for a joint account for Flagship Rewards Sig and we were approved for $17.5k. They pulled TU and mine was 747 and my joint's was most likely in the 760s I'm not 100% sure for her.

I always thought 0% utility resulted in a score decrease?

thats true and while the score comparision is ymmv but in the OP's case most instances where an app with nfcu is submitted and goes to review (3-5 day message) and a lender sees that I dont think it matters at all. If anything it should look better cause you are presenting yourself with zero debt
