I was approved on 8/30, got my card on 9/7 and it hit my reports on 9/13. It also showed as a good tradeline for the month of Auguest which I did not expect.
IME, regardless of when a CC begins to report, the "opening date" on our CR is the date you were approved because that's technically the date the acct was opened.

I assumed as much in this case. I thought my experience was different with cap one, but I could be mistaken.

Sorry to hijack and this really doesn't matter at all, but I was curious so went back to dig it up. I was approved for Cap One the last week of January. As we all know, they are slow and I didn't receive and activate the card until Feb 17th. My credit report doesn't have anything for Cap One for January so I guess it's either a difference in providers or perhaps it just varies from person to person.
