this intrests me..i just apped for a CC w/ NFCU..hoping they pull TU and stay away from EQ (LOL) as this is my highest score!
@CS800 wrote:Does NFCU use the same inq when opening a checking, credit card and navcheck together?
They do not, I did a membership app, a cc app, and an auto refi... it resulted in 3 pulls to TU, but they were worth it and the pulls didn't count against me, because I already had over 10 pulls on my TU. Well worth the HPs

Made me wonder which TU version they pulled. Between my TU98 and TU08 there is a 28 points difference; TU08 being higher.

I think they use TU04 ~ I received a score of 626 earlier this year from them, with a low/high range of 336 to 843. I think this is the real world range for TU04....
@CS800 wrote:So the damage (in a good way)
2 pulls total
CC + Car Loan = 1 -- TU only
NavChek = 1 -- EQ only
Random that they checked a different CB for different products.
SOP at NFCU. Nice approvals!

Thanks, they are truly a delight to work with
I noticed that you get your EQ from DCU too.

I thought all FICO's were 300-850 ? No?
That is the theoretical min/min, but actually not the real world range. Take a look at this thread:
Based on what is in this thread it appears that NFCU actually pulls TU98, rather than TU04.
just did a car loan thru them last month. they pulled equifax.
They pulled equifax for the personal loan.
they pulled equifax for my cc's.
Account opening and auto refi = TU
CC and Navchek = EQ
I'm in AZ, so location might also be a determination. But you know the saying, YMMV.
