NFCU

Is NFCU generous with the limits even though I have a limited history(say 5 months)? Also what are the approval odds?

Re: NFCU

Without your credit history any baddies, any current cards, credit scores if you have them. It would be hard to help giving you an opinion. If you only have 5 months of credit history you wouldn't even have a credit score. That wouldn't make your chances very good in my opinion.

edit: it takes 6 months to generate a credit score.

Re: NFCU

My friend has 5 months of history. No baddies. All PIF. No late payments. He has the following cards.

BoA secured card, Discover IT, DCU CC. I am not sure of his credit score though.

Re: NFCU

Honestly if it was me I would wait 6 months to a year get some age and positive credit history from current cards to his credit file. For a better chance of approval, larger CL and better APR.
