Obviously the best known example would be the 'C F Frost' printed on all the Amex card stock pictures.
Does anyone know the process/has anyone done this themselves?
Thank you in advance.
Having a lengthy name, it's been my experience that the card issuer will pretty much print your name how you want it, as long as it's representative of your actual name. I've never had a problem changing to or from initials, or even adding or dropping a suffix. I think the concern is that the name should represent 'you', so as long as you're not trying to use nicknames (clearly problematic) you should have no problems.
For me, in the past when I've request a name 'update' on a card, it was an easy phone call and the issuer simply send out a new card, usually with the same account number and even the same CVV on the back as well. I don't think you'll have any problems.
Just my 2¢.
I don't have experience on this issue. Most of my cards use my First name, middle initial, and last name. The only exception is Discover, which I only have my first and last name
