DH and I app'd for the NavChek on 4/06, asked for $7500. We received a message a few hours later that we were conditionally approved, just had to send in verification of income. Faxed the verification on 4/11. Received the loan documents requesting signatures in the mail on 4/17. Signed and mailed the documents back on 4/18. Log on today and the NavChek is showing up on our accounts, with an $8,000 limit. No plans to use it, but it's nice to know it's there if there's an emergency. Navy has been great to us. I wish their bill pay and website features were a little better, if so, they would most definitely be my PRIMARY bank. Anyone that can get in with NFCU, DO IT!
Between the two of us we have a checking and two saving accounts with portions of our pay DD. I have the cashRewards CC ($15k). DH has the cashRewards CC ($5k) and nRewards CC ($5k). And I also refinanced a vehicle through them ($27k). They have been great to work with. First time we were asked for income verification was for the Navchek. I've been with NFCU just over a year now and DH about 9 months. DH would be upset to read this next part (he's Army), but here goes....GO NAVY!!!

Congrats! NFCU has been great to us too! We love them!
Yeah, Navy! ;D
What exactly is NavCheck? Is that the line of credit they offer for overdraft protection?

Yep. From every thing I've read and heard you can basically use it like a regular old personal line of credit. You don't have to OD your account to use it. You do have to order special checks for it.
We got 12.99%. A little high, but a lot less than some CC's out there.
I didn't know they offered a lower rate on their NAVchek. Mine is at $15k at 14.9%. Congrats though!!!!
Does NavCheck let you transfer a balance to it?

YES>
If the ballance is from within NFCU just use your Checking Account to pay the ballance. If its from outside the CU then again use your Checking account.
Hope that makes sense as your checking account is Tied to the Navcheck.
