Hooray, got my LOC reflected in my checking account.
Now I know you can write checks and trigger OD, or write checks directly off the account. I have received neither. I am waiting for the external transfer letter to move money in. Does using your check card as a CC also trigger the moving of money (like Alliant) or is the transaction denied?
My dog has surgery today to remove a potentially malignant tumor and the money won't xfer in fast enough to pay the vet through NFCU.
The only way to access the LOC is to overdraft your account or to use a check from the line of credit, your credit card won't do anything.

Credit card won't work but the Red Check Card should if you've been approved for OLOC.
I did not say anything about my CC. I left my new PIN at home for the red check card so will have to run as POS credit rather than a debit.
And yes, I was approved for OLOC; I was asking because money being xferred into this checking account is not there yet so may need to use the OLOC. As long as the check card works at triggering it, I am cool. Will pay it once the $$$ gets there.

I know, simi_go did above. I was just clarifying the difference due to that.
If you run your Red Check card at all, either as a debit or credit (if the system you run it on will allow you to choose credit), it should still pull from your OLOC. Often you don't have to choose, it will just run and not ask for a PIN for debit.
Care Credit for the dog!
otherwise I believe your red card should trigger.. check your overdraft funding options online as long as all roads point to the NavCheck you should be good if within the daily limits of the check card.
Thanks, Lexie. The vet called a few hours ago to tell me she is in recovery and will be ready to pick up after work. He said based on its appearance it is a precursor to cancer but at this point very likely benign and not worth spending for histopathology since she has no other risk factors and clean margins.
Carecredit was not an option since I had a falling out with its parent company in my unable to pay days.
My dog is fine and I did not need to use LOC at all. The surgery was far less than I expected.
But as an experiment I used the check card in the self serve line at the supermarket because if rejected it is less embarrassing lol. It works. So yes, you can access LOC through use of the check card.

Yay for your dog!
Also, when you triggered the LOC, did you see any unusual activity in your savings account as well? I was playing around with the LOC when I first got it and saw it was going through my savings at the same time. I was testing using a no-fee Co-op ATM btw.
This is what my two accounts looked like afterwards (dollar amounts are for example only):
Share Savings
------------
Transfer from checking $50
Transfer to checking $50
e-Checking (starting from 0 balance)
------------
Transfer from shares $50 (50 balance)
ATM withdrawal $50 (0 balance)
Transfer to shares $50 (-50 balance)
NAVchek Advance $50 (0 balance)
Has anybody else seen this when accessing the LOC or are my accounts messed up? Why is the NAVchek using the savings as a go-between for a single transaction? Is it because I was testing using cash withdrawal at a network ATM?
A day later the LOC got triggered again when the checks I ordered when opening the account got charged. This time nothing happened to my savings account.
