I have a cashRewards Visa that I opened in May 2009. Asked for a 4000 cli in October 2009  via luv button. It took abot 3 days to be approved, but only recieved 3000. No hard pull. Then in March 2010 ask for another, approved for 2500. It took about another 3 days for it to post. No hard pull. Total cl of 13500. Been with NFCU for 8 years. YMMV.

What did your util look like when you requested CLI?

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

My overall util (5 cards total) was 4%. I rarely carry a balance with my navy card. I charge about $230 plus a month on that card.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

Just asked for and received a CL increase on my nRewards card from $17K to $22.5K via an offer on the offers page.  Was not instant (applied Wednesday night, increase showed up Thursday morning after receiving a 3-5 days notice online) and they did do a hard pull on EQ.  Also have 10K NavChek with them, low usage on the credit card (<$500 per month) but am currently taking advantage of their 12 months at 3.99% BT offer to the tune of $6k, have been member and had the card for 7 months.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

I never had a hard pull from them for CLI on my nrewards until I went over 20k then they pulled EQ. I wonder if 20k is the magic threshold? I know the do soft pulls monthly for the most part.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

Hit the LUV button.  Asked for, and got the next day, 5000 from 2500 on this CLI.

Card is 4 months old, scores are 630's-ish, about 4,210 inquiries combined on all three reports.

Startin to feel good about retiring 4 years ago from the service if this is what I get from NFCU...  Now if they would repeal the disability tax....

Thanks for the help, yall.

What exactly is the "luv" button?  I used the credit line increase section on my online account, but haven't heard anything back in over a week now.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

I used the credit card limit increase link under Lending Services. You might want to call them.
