I have some recent 30 day lates due to applying for a loan modification during my divorce. I was wondering has Navy FCU approved anyone with recent 30 or 60 day lates? My scores range from 650 to 702.

Navy Fed is very forgiving from what I have read. I say go for it.

I'm a Navy Veteran and they won't re-open my account.  You have to be active duty or retired.  How retarded.  They lose.

prettydimples:  It's a YMMV type of thing.  How recent is recent?  If it's inside of one year, I would say don't waste an inquiry (unless you can really afford them).

fishbjc it is definitely under one year. I had a friend who just got approved for $10,000 and he has collections and a low score. I don't have many inquiries on my credit report.

You could try it and worse case if denied due to recent lates, is call and explain the lates. You have a good reason. Its not like your getting divorced every month.
