Re: Need some gameplan advice for paying down my debt

That's a great start! That other PSECU account will take some doing, especially with interest accruing, but $800 would make a nice big dent in it!

Re: Need some gameplan advice for paying down my debt (Update)

Hats off your making great strides BRAVO

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Yea that loan company did me real dirty at the beginning of my rebuild. Very thankful I could axe them.

They need to hurry up and update my report on that loan!!

So I only have 1 interest accuing acount to tackle, the others are set on approximate monthly payments. After this month I have it figured I can throw $700-800 at the PSECU account which will take me to the end of the year but it will be PIF (Cant wait)!!!!!!

I'm excited to get these balances down and watch my credit and score age and grow!!!

Having that PSECU account off your back will be a good end of the year/holiday present to yourslef.  Nice work!  Keep it going.

Re: Need some gameplan advice for paying down my debt

Haha I know the feeling.

I BTed 5k worth of student loan debt onto my navy card to take advantage of 0% promotion. It sucks seeing the credit card balance but its cool to see my student loan balance sitting at 14k I will work hard through the year to pay off my navy balance and hopefully pay off the student loan balance next year with my annual bonus.

Next year will be better.
we have effectively cut out spending on non essentials by half. We still do the occassional restaurant meal... but there's only been 4 of those in the last 3 months and one was for my husbands birthday and to celebrate my raise and annual bonus payout
