I need to purchase a washer/dryer this week and have a CH 7 Bankruptcy that was discharged two years ago. My fico scores are:
EQ: 640
EX: 658
TU: 629
Been looking at Lowes, Sears, Brandsmart, Home Depot
Do you by any chance know who is most lenient in extending credit to purchase? thanks for the advice
Are those FICO scores? You show EX, and they've been unavailable since February.
That said, if your other two scores are accurate, try Home Depot, which is financed by Citi. I've had mine for three years for the exact purpose, and was given the card with an initial CL of $2000.
I found Lowe's to be stingy with CLs. They gave me a card when I bought my house with a measly CL of $1250. I called a few months later and told them it wasn't enough to buy the fridge I wanted and they bumped it to $2250 a year ago. Still there, and they no longer do auto CLIs.
My bro applied for Lowe's with a score around 690 and was declined for high UTIL, so you may get the same response.
Are there any local appliance stores nearby that offer financing? They may be worth trying.
Home Depot here I come...
Anyone had experience with Sears? I think they may be stingy too. Maybe I should to Brandsmart, they are more local, maybe they are more lenient.
We are finally homeowners!!
