Hi, I have 2 Capital One cards. One for 12 years with a 1500. limit. One for 5 months with a 500. limit. My last Tu fico score with a 38% usage was 716. I pay in full every month but charged between the payment date and the statement date before I learned not to do that. My next one will be ready March 9 with 2 or so %. These are the only accounts I have. I received an offer from BOA and trashed it. I went online and applied for the wrong card and was denied. I have had offers from Usaa and Amex. I don't want anymore cards with 500. limits, and I don't want anymore hard inguiries. I have never had a late pay with Capital One in 12 years, but they denie me increases. Amex offers one year no af, and 125. starting second year. With no clue as to the limit, I don't want to fall for that. Just wondering what you guys would do? Thanks for all input.

With no inquiries, you're pretty much stuck. Scores look good enough for a decent CL on a Citi Diamond Preferred. I got $3600 with less. How many inquiries do you have?

Thanks for the reply RBH. I have 2 inquiries. One from Capital One, which I was approved, and one from BOA, which I was denied.

Once you get your util down, I think you're prime for a Citi card.

My util is down to 2% effective in Jan. I won't get my quarterly report until March, so I don't know my new score yet. Would you wait until then to apply?

Yes I would. No harm in waiting, and you would want to be absolutely sure...

If it helps I was just approved for a $3,600 CL tonight for a Citi Diamond Preferred Card. About 35% utility.
