Re: Never saw this Amex credit line increase button and response before

It's on all my revolvers except for my Delta Platinum as it is my least used out of the other 4 revolvers (EDP, SPG, SPG Biz, Blue Business Plus).

Thanks everyone for the replies.  AlexisMachine, congrats on that CLI!

OK, so the whole "30 day" thing is still kind of a mystery, but I think we can safely state some things.  It does seem to only be showing on cards that are decently utilized and it is merely a shortcut to the Account Services | Card ManagementIncrease Your Credit Limit screen.  (If I navigate to that screen the manual way, it still instantly pops up the same pending or 30 day language I showed with the screen capture on page 1 of this thread.)  It doesn't seem to override the "180 day rule."  Got my hopes up for what appears to just be an automatic feature added to the new site design when a revolver is being utilized.  Speaking of which, some of the redesign has been difficult to get used to for me.  It took me until yesterday to figure out how to see pending Membership Rewards points, which used to just show up in a mouse-over over your current points on any MR-earning card.

It's why I have bookmarked the old account design login the new one gives me a headache to being a complete PITA to navigate.

I was just logging in to make sure that a payment went through on my SPG card and below Balance & Credit Details there was a big blue Increase Your Credit Limit button.  I have never seen this before and it doesn't show on my other revolvers.  I clicked on it just to see what would happen (I just got a $4500 CLI last week), and got the following message:

Our records indicate a request for a line of credit increase has already been submitted, and is currently being processed or that the line of credit on your account was increased within the last 30 days.  Your account is not eligible for a new request at this time.  Please call...

Has anyone else seen this?  When I clicked, it went straight to that message without asking me to fill in the usual "Increase Line of Credit to this amount:" and "Total Annual Income:" boxes. The 30 day language above has me puzzled.  Does this mean that if you're targeted for a CLI with this button that it bypasses the 180 day rule?  I know the usual policy hasn't changed because I tried for the CLI a few days early before getting one last week, and earlier this week I got the letter for that request in the mail that stated the 180 day policy. Screencaps below. (The button reversed to blue text on white when I clicked back.)

I log in the day you posted this to my ED account and it wasn't there for me. I log in today to check my account and the increase button was there just like yours. For me, when I click it asks how much I want the new CL to be and then my income. That wasn't there before for me and it's not there on the mobile version.

Well I hit the button & it sent me to the credit increase page. I originally had $9000 & had got a &3000 auto increase so I didn't want full 36,000 but put in for 27,000 . Well I got the instant congratulations your approved for 27,000. Probably left some money but that give me some room for next time.

Re: Never saw this Amex credit line increase button and response before

The main question is anyone getting a cli sooner then 181 days after the last successful one?

The people that have gotten a cli, how many days since the last cli? or since the last request?

250k+ CL and climbing.

Re: Never saw this Amex credit line increase button and response before

I've got this link on my BCE. It wasn't there yesterday for certain.

I received my CLI on 25 May. At the time, I requested 3x, but was only awarded a 2x increase to $4000. I'm tempted to push the button to see what it does in my case. It's only been 72 days since my CLI.

Edit: I hit the button. It took me to the CLI screen. I entered my info and requested 3x my current limit. I received the 7-10 day letter notice, followed by the call customer service email. I'm at 38% util right now (taking advantage of 0% intro APR and bought a computer. After receiving the email, I logged back in to find that the button is still there, and I am still at $4000 CL. I'll call them in the morning and report back what happens. I'm pretty certain they're going to tell me to wait 6 months from May.
