I applied for and was approved for a Best Buy last Sunday. They approved me for a $1900 CL...I immediately requested an increase but they denied my request. I wanted to know if there is a chance that I could get the increase by calling the back door number???
I got decline my first time also but normally they will give u a CLI after every six months
Usually the CL they approve you at is algorithmically determined. So until you develop more history with them, you're almost always tuck with what they gave you. I don't think I've ever heard of someone getting their CL changed at approval time.

I used to work for Best Buy as a Sales & Financing Specialist, and in my almost three years there, I had only seen, one time, where someone got a CLI at time of application. All other requests were denied - even by calling internal numbers.
Give it six months, and it will move.
What's the best way to ditch the BB store card, tier 2 with the maximum $800 limit, and get a BB store card with a higher limit? Has anyone ever done that?

I did just that earlier this year. Had the Tier B with $800 that I got by applying on the internet back last October. Applied in-store in March or April of this year and got Tier A with a $3600 limit. My scores had improved by a few points.
thanks for the reply...do you know what CB they pulled on your in-store app?
How do you know if you are Tier A or Tier B? I have tried finding out with customer service, but I never get an answer. They claim that it is possible for me to get a CLI, but I have had the card for over two years and am still at my original $500 limit. I have asked for a CLI and have had the customer service agent "process" my request while on the phone, but they deny it every time in literally less than 10 seconds and I never get an inquiry. The quick response and lack of INQ would lead me to believe that I am Tier B and will never be eligible for a CLI, but then why would they tell me it is possible for me to get a CLI?

did you close the one before you applied for the other?
The tier B maximum credit limit is $800. I'm not sure how you find out what tier cc you have except to keep asking customer service.
