Discover havent given me a limit, they said you are approved. wait for an email while your account is created for Discover.com.

Ok you have time stop now don't apply for Amex yet ..
Step 1 call Discover and get limit
Step 2 need to know what cards you have now, how long you've had them and the limits
Step 3 update thread and we can go from there

It sounds as if you believe that the Inq threshold is very low (more than 2 is bad). Many people successfully apply with many more inqs, easier with a thicker file. While CRs, Credit Karma will indicate a lot of inquiries as a negative feature, it is often not that critical, if the rest of the report is fine. And, past a certain point, additional inquiries seem to have no more impact...
