The AMEX computer can't authorize credit lines as high as the one she just qualified for. It will probably be reviewed by a CSR tomorrow.
Remember the AMEX 61 day rule. 61 days after you activate your card you can call for a 3X existing CL increase!
Sorry about the MAN comment earlier. The bright lights of the internet blind me sometimes!
Now, once you get these cards and have them reporting make sure and call Chase and request a CLI on that puny $5K CL they gave you!![]()

This morning I called Amex and I have been approved for the Gold Delta Skymiles with a CL of $5,500! Yesterday was really a good day with the additional approval of the Citi card at a CL of $11.
Thanks to all!

FYI, Citi and Amex both pulled Ex which was the icing on the cake as I had no inq previously.

That is just so awesome!
It was fun following along on your app sree. You have great credit!
Congrats on the 2 new PRIME cards!
Now, make sure you call AMEX for a credit line increase of 3 times $5500 CL at 61 days after you activate your card. When they ask you how much you want, say $16500! You will get it. You will really like all the bonuses and perks that come with being part of the AMEX family. You have a great card here.
You should also make sure you call Chase after these new cards report. I'm sure they will at least match Citi at 11K.
I knew you could do it! Hard work pays off! You are an insperation to us all!
Good luck!
