New Discover Card

Anyone have their fico score drop 23 points for adding a new account?  Jeez I was floored to see when my discover card reported this much of a decline.  I thought for sure adding my amex backdated to 2004 and a new card would offset.  Woof...what a bummer

 

Starting Score: EQ 619
Current Score: EQ 735, TU 732, EX 745(Lender Pulled)
Goal Score: EQ 700

Seems really high to me but I guess it just depends how much aaoa was hurt.

Not necessarily.  Could be dinged more for the new account than the AAoA hit.
