I've had my orchard card for 5 years or so now, and its up to 550 from 300.00. My merrick card initial was 600 and they auto CLI me to 1200 after a year.
Have you had Amex card back when you were in Canada? If yes, you could call amex to transfer history from foreign account to open a new tradeline backdating to opening date of the previous one.
Interesting about them selling out to Cap1. My limit on my Orchard Bank card is $500 and they won't budge anymore. I haven't even used this card for about a year because I have an AMEX Platinum that I use for everything. I just keep this account open because it's my oldest card on my credit report. I called today to ask to close the account because of the $79 annual fee and they took it off. Maybe I should have closed it though because my understanding is that Cap1 doesn't report credit limits?
