Maybe I'm just different, but to me, vacations/trips are a luxury, not a necessity. If you can't afford to pay them in full when you book, then why are you taking the trip?
Not to say this is a bad product but on the list of priorities, if I'm low on money, the vacation would be the first thing to be cut.

I'm with Kdm, vacation is a luxury. Just recently, I had a staycation planned but decided to save it and do some much needed work on my house. We should only be financing things we need (houses, cars, etc.)
+1. The only way I would see something like that maybe making sense is for an emergency like a death in the family, etc. Travel doesn't necessarily have to mean a "vacation"
The Blispay of Travel is a good way to put it. Of course, you could just get a Blispay and use it for travel costs, so there's always that. Or you could get a new card with a promo period and have a longer time to pay for your trip. Eh.

Very true! Well they obviously feel there is a market for this card. The avg member here I'm sure will pass. 😆
Thank you for sharing the information, baller4!
So will it be the usual Synchrony credit plan, " $199 @ no interest for 6 months, then a LOW 29.99% interest rate" after that?

And it sounds like you will either get a store card or visa/mastetcard version but they aren't committing to who they are using yet.
That must be the selling point. Since a store card could be issued with eased UW, this could be a viable option for those who can't get Blispay or other major CCs with a promo period. Of course, it might also be good if you need multiple trips and don't want to tie up another TL.
